Our ProXR series controllers have served as the foundation for our relay control architecture since 2004. Since that time, thousands of ProXR controllers have made their way to engineers all over the world. As our customer base has grown, our customers have developed a need for a high-functioning low-cost relay controller suitable for volume manufacturing. The ProXR LITE series controllers are manufactured by machines at high speed and in high volumes. The goal is to offer most of the features of a ProXR relay controller at significant cost savings. The ProXR Lite are suitable for volume applications and offer the cost benefit of machine manufacturing. The ProXR Lite series controllers can be manufactured at a rate exceeding 500 controllers per week (provided component stock is available).
The ProXR Lite series are based on the same designs that offer a 5 year warranty. However, in an effort to further save cost, we have limited the warranty of the ProXR Lite series controllers. ProXR Lite series controllers are guaranteed ONLY against manufacturing and functionality defects for a period of 30 days. Controllers that are damaged by our customers will not be warranted under any circumstances. ProXR Lite series controllers are designed for long life; however, should they be damaged, they should be discarded and replaced.
ProXR Lite Controller
The ProXR Lite boards feature the same ProXR Command set as our more expensive boards without the expandability and the timer functions of our full ProXR controller. If your application doesn't require expansion or timer functions the ProXR Lite series is less expensive and still offers the full ProXR command set.
Unlike the ProXR series relay controllers, ProXR Lite series controllers are NOT expandable. The firmware still thinks 256 relays are available, however, the relay portion of the controller only responds to the first 1, 2, 4 or 8 relays in Bank 1. We did NOT skip the Analog Input portion of the ProXR Lite. All ProXR lite controllers offer a 8-Channel 8/10-Bit Analog to Digital Converter in addition to relay control. The ProXR Lite responds to the same firmware as the ProXR series controllers and is therefore 100% compatible with any applications designed to work with a ProXR series controller (click here to see the ProXR command set).
New Board Designs
The new ProXR Lite Relay features our new surface mount LED lights. These lights are smaller and brighter than previous generation lights for making relay status easier to read at a glance. The ProXR Lite Relays will also feature a new board design with Break-Away Tabs. With the Tabs on, the board will fit into an enclosure. If your project requires a smaller profile without an enclosure, simply snap off the tabs on each side for a smaller board.
Interfaces will include USB, ZigBee Wireless, XSC Long Range Wireless and ZB Mesh Networking. All interfaces will be available in 1 Channel, 2 Channel, 4 Channel and 8 channel relays.
ProXR Lite Is Here!
A more streamlined manufacturing process brings a more durable, reliable and better relay board to the market. Here's a lists of great features:
User Friendly Board Design
Surface mount allows for a smaller board
Break-A-Way Tabs lets you decide the board's size
Interchangeable interfaces allows you to upgrade or change your interface at any time
Our ProXR Lite Relays feature
SPDT & SPST relays and are available in 1, 2, 4 and 8 channel configurations. The ProXR lite series features the same command set found in the ProXR series controllers but without the ability to add more relays or timing functions. All ProXR Lite boards are of course
SignalSwitch compatible.

A/D Conversion on Select Boards
Analog to Digital conversion is available on all ProXR Lite controllers.
Analog to Digital Conversion allows you to read voltage levels from 0-5 volts using 8-bit or 10-bit resolution. This is particularly useful for reading temperature sensors (one temperature sensor is built into the 4 & 8 channel ProXR Lite boards, shared with analog input number 8). A/D Inputs are also useful for reading light level sensors, thermocouples, switch closures, or just about any other kind of sensor you can think of. Built-In Pull-Up/Down Resistors keep the inputs quiet.
The ProXR Series Controller allow computers to read contact closure inputs, analog to digital converters and control up to 256 Relays using a single computer interface. ProXR series controllers focus on expansion for industrial control applications.
The ProXR Lite product line allows computers to read up to 8 analog inputs and control up to 8 relays.
Non-Expandable, the ProXR Lite Product Line focuses on interchangeable Computer Interface Modules and Low Cost
Focusing on Cost Reduction and High Volume Manufacturing, the Low Cost Series are No-Frills Relay Controllers that offer Basic Computer Control at Low Communications Speed.
