    This Ethernet relay controller is based on the Digi Connect ME Ethernet communications module. This is a great low-cost solution that has empowered our users since 2005. The Digi Connect ME firmware allows you to login to the device and setup powerful network communication options. Though it does not offer a web browser interface for relay/device control, it does offer many powerful connectivity options for advanced networks at a very low cost. ME Firmware supports Virtual COM Port Ethernet Communications, Direct TCP/IP communications, or direct communication to SignalSwitch.com. ME Firmware is only capable of handling only one of these communication options at a time however.

    Easy Software Development

    RealPort Virtual COM Port drivers map a Network IP address to a COM port on your network...allowing you to control this device as though it were directly connected to a serial port on your PC.  So network control is now as easy as speaking to a COM port on your local computer....except this device works over the network.  This device also supports Telnet and Data Encryption with Password Protection.  This device includes a Digi Connect ME Ethernet Interface and Embedded Web Server from www.digi.com.

    Many Communication Protocols for Advanced Users

    Advanced users may want to employ other communication protocols to speak the the Ethernet Relay Controller. NCD Ethernet Relay Controllers can also be controlled using Telnet. I.P. Addresses and are automatically or manually assigned. NCD Ethernet Relay Controllers also support security protocols such as Shared Key, WEP, WPA, and Cisco LEAP with support for WEP, TKIP, and CCMP data encryption.

    About ProXR

    If you are new to our products, we would like to introduce to you is a term we call "ProXR".  ProXR refers to a set of standardized commands used for computer control and data collection.  A controller that supports the ProXR command set is a controller that is built to control up to 256 relays, using commands that can be sent to any controller that offers ProXR compatibility.  This allows software developers to create programs for our products, then upgrade or change connectivity options without having to rewrite their software.  ProXR commands can be sent to our controllers via the RS-232 serial port, the USB port, Wireless ZigBee, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi 802.11b...all without rewriting your software....simply develop your programs to work with the serial port of your computer.  Let ProXR controllers manage the rest.

    With all the control and backward/forward compatibility you have come to expect from the ProXR series command set, this controller allow you to send simple commands to activate relays, read the status of relays, activate up to 16 relay timers, and control up to 256 total relays using the XR expansion port.  All relays are electronically latched, simply send a command to turn the relay on, send a different command to turn the relay off.

    A/D Conversion

    Analog to Digital Conversion allows you to read voltage levels from 0-5 volts using 8-bit or 10-bit resolution.  This is particularly useful for reading temperature sensors (one temperature sensor is built into the board, shared with analog input number 8).  A/D Inputs are also useful for reading light level sensors, thermocouples, switch closures, or just about any other kind of sensor you can think of.  Built-In Pull-Up/Down Resistors keep the inputs quiet.  Eight Different A/D Sample programs are available in the NCD Component Library.  These samples are available as a free download and are compatible with Visual Studio.   We've got sensors!  Visit our Sensor Page for sensors that have been tested and work with all NCD A/D Boards controller.

    Wi-Fi Adapter Available

    Make this Ethernet controller Wi-Fi compatible by simply connecting the Netgear WNCE2001 Universal Wireless Internet Adapter. The WNCE2001 will connect any NCD Ethernet device to an existing 802.11 wireless network. Installation couldn't be easier with Netgear's CD-less, wireless installation. The Netgear WNCE2001 can be purchased on your own or select the Wi-Fi option at checkout to add to your order.

    Ethernet with Web-i Framework

    NCD Currently offers 2 variations of the Ethernet Modules.  The Web-i with Web-Browser interface is also available.

    Web-i is our own breed of Ethernet communications. Web-i offers a powerful web-browser interface for direct control of relays from a web-page served directly to users from the Web-i module, without the need for a server. Web-i is accessible from anywhere on your local area network or from anywhere in the world. In addition to a web browser relay control interface, Web-i devices also allow you to control the device from your own software through direct TCP/IP communications while still hosting a web browser interface. Write software that directly accesses the controller or access the control from your web browser. Web-i also supports a simultaneous connection to SignalSwitch.com, allowing you to control the Web-i from our server, your program, or your web browser...all at the same time.  Use the chart below to compare features of the ZETH-ME and Web-i Ethernet Modules.  This board can be upgraded with the Web-i module during checkout.
