Control 256 Relays from a Single RS-232 Serial Port |

Hybrid relay controllers are essentially two products integrated into a single design. Our Hybrid series combine extensive IO capabilities with relay control functions, allowing users to interactively read and control with a single board. Our Hybrid series boast more features, more expansion capabilities, and more IO than any competing relay controller on the market.
The IOADR165 and IOADR1610 relay controllers consist of two data ports, Port A and B. Each of these ports has 8 TTL data lines.
Port A is capable of reading TTL Inputs, Setting TTL Outputs. Under software control, Inputs and Outputs can be Mixed. Port A is also capable of Reading 5-Channels of Analog Data at 8 or 10-Bit resolution. Port A can also be used to control any size of Character LCD displays up to 80 characters (40x2 or 20x4).
Port B is capable of reading TTL Inputs or Setting TTL Outputs. Under software control, Inputs and Outputs can be Mixed. Port B can also be used to control any size of Character LCD Display up to 80 characters (40x2 or 20x4). In addition, Port B can connect to a 16-button Matrix Type Keypad, allowing your host computer to read key presses. Keypresses can also appear on character display attached to Port A or Port C.
Sixteen On-Board Integrated SPDT Relays (5 or 10-Amp Available) are capable of controlling high current loads. Relays are latched on or off using our new "Pro" relay controller command set, standardizing the way relays are controlled.
Our "Pro" relay controller command set allows you set the status of individual relays, all relays at once, read the status of relays, program the on/off status of all relays when power is first applied to the board and much more. Our "Pro" command set also supports storing the on/off status of all relays in 16 memory banks. Using a single command, relay status can be recalled from the memory bank, which is useful for preventing certain relays from activating at the same time. The "Pro" command set also supports timer functions, allowing relays to activate for short durations from 10ms to 32 seconds.
Dual PRO Command Set allows the Same Command set to be used to control each group of eight relays. Commands are "Directed" to bank A or bank B relays. Extended relay control commands allow the user to set or read the status of all 16 relays using a single command.
E3C compliance is now standard in most NCD devices so it was important to add this feature as soon as possible. E3C compliance allows 256 NCD devices to share a single serial port in any combination.
Also available is our QS12 Quick Start Kit. Kit includes a high quality regulated switcher supply, serial cables, and an RSIO adapter board used to add a standard serial and power connector to this relay controller. This Quick Start Kit can be purchased during checkout of this controller.
